Fancy Boy

Just had to post these. Nehemiah is in a wedding coming up in August. We went to try on suits, and found these summer short suits. Don't know if we'll end up getting one of these or not, but he is just so cute!

Corn on the Cob & Dancing with Strange Ladies

Last weekend we went to a festival at Meinig Park in Sandy. There were lots of art booths, live music and of course great fair type food. Travis and I enjoyed corn on the cob and then Nehemiah enjoyed chewing on the cob after we were done. FYI- they show movies at this park at dusk on Saturdays in August. Sounds like fun!

Later that evening we went to a concert at Rose City Park with some friends. Nehemiah enjoyed dancing to the music and also dancing with a strange lady. I tried to post a video of it, but can't get it to work. I'll try again tomorrow.

Smart Boy

For awhile I've been meaning to post about what Nehemiah knows and says and does. Now, I'm not sure I'll remember it all since he is getting sooooo smart. Below is a clip of some of his words. We can't believe that he has learned so much in the past few months. We're pretty proud of our 15 month old!

How Smart is Nehemiah?

Signs: fish, bunny rabbit, dog, cat, eat, more, help, hungry, please, thank you, milk, frog, elephant, bird, flower, light

Sounds: dog, cow, duck, donkey, horse, sheep, monkey, mouse, whoo whoo (train whistle)

Words: Mama, Dada, Meme, Papa, Elmo, ball, peas, beans, cheese, Peach (these last four all sound about the same), bubble, cracker, poo poo, more, Babo (Pocampo), uh oh, go, yeehaw, hi, bye bye, night night, beep, baby, nani (banana)

Words I swear he's said, but not all the time yet: Big Birg, brown bear, Bible, giggle, thirsty

Word Travis is working on with him: habidagus

Body parts he knows: belly, toes, head, ears, nose, teeth, eyes, mouth, legs

Nehemiah also has a few favorite books that I always do motions with....He has started doing the motions now too and it is so cute to see his interpretation.

Family Fun at Pacific City

For a week over the 4th of July we vacationed at Pacific City for our annual Harris/Roth/Vice family beach trip. We had a fabulous time relaxing and hanging with the fam. The weather was good most of the time so we were able to spend a lot of time on the beach. We ate good food, watched a few movies, talked, watched fireworks, went to a parade, walked on the beach and into town, played games and even had a friendly competition of bowling on the Nintendo Wii. What a wonderful week!
