The Beach

We finally got to go on our long awaited beach trip. We stayed in Gearhart so were near all the action in Seaside...which actually there isn't much this time of year. We really wanted to play the cool old "Fascination" game at the arcade, but apparently they don't open that game on the weekend. It is kind of like skee ball, but better. If you've never played before, you are really missing out. Find out about it here. Nehemiah got to ride on the rabbit on the carousel and also feed the seals at the aquarium. He also enjoyed digging in the sand on the beach, however, did not enjoy tasting the sand or rubbing his eyes with sandy hands. We also got to visit a good friend Toni who lives in Gearhart. We had a fabulous time and can't wait to go back!
The first thing Travis did when we got there.

Nehemiah picked the bunny.

Goodbye Neon.......

This is our faithful Neon being driven away by its new owner. We did a little dance after secretly taking this picture.

Birthday Party!

It was quite the birthday party last Saturday. 55-60 people packed our house to celebrate Nehemiah turning one. We were hoping for good weather so we could enjoy our spacious yard, however, it wasn't in the cards. It was a blast, but also a little crazy. We decorated with yellow ducky decor seeing as Nehemiah really loves ducks. He even quacks like one. I don't know whether this counts as a first word or not. He enjoyed eating his blue cake that Grandma baked him and only really wanted to help open the gift with the Sesame Street wrapping paper. Soon after the fun was over (and the video camera gone) he decided it was time to take his first steps, but only if someone is waiting with arms outstretched. Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate!

Happy 1st Birthday Nehemiah!

We can't believe it was a year ago today that Nehemiah James joined our family. It has been a fast year with many memories. He has brought such joy to our lives. We thank the Lord for giving us our little boy who is already growing up way too fast!

On birthday morn while Mama and Dada sang "Happy Birthday"

Tonight we went to Spaghetti Factory to celebrate. He even got his own kid's meal.

Yummy...macaroni and cheese

And apple juice...

And birthday ice cream to top it off.....Wow, Mama and Dada really spoiled me tonight!

Lemons are good too!
